Infraction Deferral Program

The Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office and local law enforcement are committed to improving the safety of motorists who use our highways.  To help achieve this goal a program has been implemented to help motorists maintain a good driving record and avoiding having to appear in court.  Under the INFRACTION DEFERRAL PROGRAM, eligible drivers may get their tickets deferred.

For more information about the Infraction deferral Program you can contact infraction Coordinator Becky Garland at (317) 346-4576. To see if you are eligible for the program you can call the deferral hotline anytime at (317) 346-4556 or e-mail at trafficdeferral@co.johnson.in.us. Make sure to include your Name, Address, Drivers License Number, Daytime phone number, offense or offenses, if speeding the rate of speed as well as the posted speed limit, court date, time and location (Franklin City Court or Greenwood City Court) and which agency wrote the ticket. If you are eligible we will be sure to mail you a Deferral Letter.
